The fort, with its rich history passed down through generations, now operates as a charming Heritage Homestay/Small Hotel. The hospitality was impeccable—delicious meals and attentive staff who went out of their way to ensure our comfort. Our room was beautifully renovated, blending tasteful decor with modern comforts. A highlight was the Village Tour by bullock cart—a truly innovative experience that gave us a glimpse into the lives of the villagers and their warm hospitality....If you're planning your itinerary, this is an absolute must-visit. We were welcomed with such warmth by the owners and staff, especially Kesar. The service was flawless. Having visited other heritage properties during our trip, I believe Divi could teach the staff at those places a thing or two about hospitality! Fort Barli felt more like staying in a warm, welcoming home than a typical hotel. The staff’s genuine happiness was contagious, and it was clear they took pride in working there. The fort itself is stunning, filled with fascinating artefacts, and offers an intimate experience with only nine rooms available. The food was exceptional, and dining in the Queen’s Room was a magical experience we’ll never forget. The friendly villagers added to the charm. ...Out of the 300 photos I took during our three-week trip, two of my favourite captures were from our time here. That says it all—staying at Fort Barli was an honour and a memory we’ll treasure forever.
